AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TRACKING APPLICATIONS

PRODUCT GOAL (AOG)

To track aircraft that are on the ground due to maintenance issues / work. It allows AOG managers to escalate serious issues for daily status meetings and reports. This allow all Gulfstream sites across the world have a shared understanding of issues & work cohesively towards findings solutions to unique aircraft problems.

In its previous state, the AOG application was built in an unstable database, making it unsecured and not user friendly.

PRODUCT GOAL (AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TRACKING APP)

Also an aircraft tracking tool, this software was designed to replace homegrown enterprise-wide tools to track aircraft going through maintenance.

INTENDED USERS

• AOG Managers (internal Gulfstream employees)

• Aircraft Technicians / Managers / Supervisors

MY ROLE (DESIGNER + RESEARCHER)

Although I did not see this project through to completion, my role was heavily involved in the requirements gathering, discovery, and initial iteration of this tool. For this project, I was able to:

• Run questions generating sessions to level-set the team’s understanding of the tool

• Prototype and iterate on designs

• Review designs with the Product Owner, developers, and users
